While washing the white clothes, you can add a ½ cup of kosher salt in the machine that will help to retain the white color. You can use a quality detergent powder with oxy-bleach like Champion Blue that will do no harm to the fabric. If you have a yellow armpit problem in the white dresses, then wash the part with a paste of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. And most importantly, never wash your white laundry with the dark color clothes to prevent staining.

  1. Amount of Detergent Powder: Am I using the detergent powder too much or too little? This is a universal question among the people dealing with their daily laundry. When the quantity of detergent is less than the required level, the clothes come out dirty and when the amount is extra, the clothes become soapy even after wash. Our suggestion is that you should not overthink it. If the tumble of the washing machine is half-filling, you need one scoop of powder for it. For a full bucket add only 1.5 ladles. If there is an indicator in the soapbox of the machine, then go accordingly.

 

  1. Smelly Towels: Towels are one of the most infamous parts of laundry as there are so many problems stuck with it. Most often we forget to put a towel in the washing machine in time and overstuff it with many other things and as a result, the cleaning is not done properly. Apart from that, we keep the towel wet for long hours that make it smelly. To make the towels clean, soft, fluffy and fresh you need to do the vinegar treatment. Soak the towel in a solution of white vinegar and water for at least 3 hours. Then wash it twice in the heavy cycle mode to get the ultimate result.
